Zoids (ゾイド, Zoido) is a Japanese science fiction media franchise created by Tomy that feature
giant robots (or "mecha") called Zoids, with designs being based on animals; including dinosaurs,
mammals, insects, arachnids and mythological creatures. The franchise includes toys, anime series
such as Zoids: Chaotic Century, and video games. The original models were released in 1982.
