F-19 Stealth Fighter (fiktives Tarnkappenflugzeug)
Im Januar 1986 veröffentlichte die Firma Testors einen Modellbausatz eines hypothetischen F-19
Stealth-Fighters, der auf Basis öffentlich zugänglicher Informationen vor der Einführung der realen
F-117 Nighthawk entwickelt wurde. Obwohl er sich stark vom tatsächlichen Flugzeug unterschied,
diente dieser fiktive Entwurf als Inspiration für Videospiele und zahlreiche andere Spielzeuge und
Modelle. Viele Merkmale, wie beispielsweise die schräg gestellten Leitwerke, wurden bei der Night-
hawk und anderen nachfolgenden Stealth-Fighter-Konstruktionen übernommen. Die F-19 ist auch
in verschiedenen Medien als "Specter" oder "Ghostrider" bekannt.
